Punta Leona

Our final orientation for AFS was in Punta Leona! Punta Leona is on the Pacific side and is known for its gorgeous white sand beaches.

Sadly we were only able to stay for one night. Given such little time I spent every minute possible on the beach.

Couldn’t of been any happier! This was by far my favorite beach, along with Manuel Antonio.

Playa Blanca was about a 15 minute walk from our hotel rooms, we found this cute little hut thing on the way.

I love meeting the other exchange students and making friends that I will have for the rest of my life. Spent most of my time with these two, Cliona (red shirt) originally from England, now lives in Arizona, and Tess (black shirt) my Aussie friend who lives on the Central Coast. We spent the weekend together on the beach entertaining each other with our different accents. One of the advantages of speaking Spanish is you can ask the locals to take pictures for you!

I think that Costa Rican tan is finally showing!

The sunset was absolutely gorgeous!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Tess and I got up at 5 to try to see the sunrise, which was a complete fail. But it was still a gorgeous morning.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWe spent the morning swimming and laying out. It was great! Sadly what will most likely be my last time at a Costa Rican beach. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Mar condiciones.

I can’t wait to visit Tess in Australia, who happens to live and work on the beach (ok, my dream life!?!) We talked for two days and are now the best of friends. I’ve picked up some new Aussie words too!

A fantastic place to visit!
